I believe it is crucial to have a personal practice in today’s fast-paced lifestyle to reset and center ourselves, creating spaciousness for processing and gaining peace. Whether you have experience with different tools, or this is your first time learning to cultivate a practice personally, throughout this session we will explore one or a mixture of the following: Meditation is a practice that involves training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. It's often used to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. The goal is to cultivate awareness of the present moment. Yoga encompasses a wide range of techniques and disciplines aimed at promoting health, well-being, and self-realization. The word "yoga" is derived from the Sanskrit root "yuj," which means "to yoke" or "to unite," reflecting its goal of harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit. Pranayama: Breathing exercises aimed at cultivating awareness of the breath, controlling the breath patterns, and enhancing the flow of life force energy (prana) throughout the body. Reiki: The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "rei," which means "universal," and "ki," which means "life energy" or "vital force." Reiki practitioners believe that this universal life energy flows through all living beings and that disruptions or imbalances in this energy can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual health issues. Reiki therapy involves the transfer of energy from the practitioner to the recipient through gentle touch or by placing hands near the body to promote balance.
